A structured small-group French atelier for residents and seasonal visitors ready to learn, speak, and connect confidently in daily life. Purpose: To help students learn French and build confidence as they move from the classroom into daily life.

• Format per atelier: Weekly small-group instruction, six participants maximum, plus one private lesson per student per month

• Duration & Location: Ten weeks in Aix-en-Provence

• Sessions: September - November,  January - March,  April - June. 

• Session structure:  Two hour sessions twice per week:  Half in person class instruction and half immersion in local community

• Real-world application: Pre-arranged guided visits with local merchants who welcome students with patience & encouragement

• Celebratory seaside excursion at end of session with lunch on the Mediterranean

• Total instruction time for one atelier: 43 hours (40 class hours and 3 private hours) 

• Outcome: Greater ease and confidence using French in everyday situations, along with stronger connections to the local community and increased independence
