Language is best learned through connection—between structure and use, study and experience, people and place. At Français Sur Mer, I would like to combine solid grammar and vocabulary foundations with real-world conversation, giving students the chance to learn in class and then practice meaningfully in town, where everyday life becomes part of the lesson.

French has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up between California and France, studied at the Sorbonne, and hold a degree in the teaching of French from Stanford University. For over twenty years, I’ve taught students from beginner to college level, shaped by experience in international education, diplomacy, and cultural institutions. My focus is always on communication, context, and the human side of learning.
